Christmas celebration which falls in the month of December is said to be the gift-giving season. This is the time of the year when the average spending of every household sizes up.

It was reported that the estimated total expenditure during the Christmas celebration in 2010 was around $85 billion. And about 30% of this amount was spent in gifts. That was the trend a year ago. And many analysts projected that there was a big increase in spending for the same occasion in 2011.  Even if we assume a 10% increase, that is still a very big amount spent on gifts alone.

People tend to be a generous giver during holiday seasons most especially during December time. It is when people are on the mood to spend and be merry. People are willing to give gifts even to strangers. And more expensive gifts are given to those who are close to them. Malls and stores are crowded during these times especially around the last week of December which is the peak of the holiday season. And people are there to spend and buy gifts for someone.

It is not bad to give. But when giving, we must give well-thought of gifts so that the people who receive them will be happy on what they receive. There are a lot of good Present Ideas (Geschenkideen)  present ideas you can choose from. You don’t need to spend too much for gifts. You can find some original and well-thought gifts that are more affordable if you would just be wiser in buying. Better if you buy gifts before December approaches. Prices increase during December time based on experience. You can save more if you buy gifts earlier.
